Enhancing Inclusion & Diversity in NATO’s Education Training Programs with Advanced AI Technologies

This is a presentation for the AECT NATO Design & Development competition. In this, we challenge NATO to imagine a world where NATO is strengthened through interpersonal skills. This is one part of many in a large project that provides a practical application of artificial intelligence in NATO’s current education training programs. To view the multi-project series, click “NATO AECT 2024.”

This review explores the integration of AI technologies into adaptive learning in higher education while focusing on strategies to address privacy and ethical considerations.

This is an instructional game design document that outlines a simulation-type game that both teaches and utilizes Robert Gagne’s Nine Levels of Instruction. It is designed for instructional design students who are ready to test their knowledge of Gagne’s Nine Levels of Instruction and apply it in an interactive game environment. Learners will be tasked with “escaping Gagne” by completing each instructional level.

Storyline Module – Interpersonal Skills

This is an e-learning that was originally created to be a part of the AECT-NATO learning and development competition in 2024. This short module serves as an introductory course to interpersonal skills and how they can be implemented in NATO’s current education and training programs.

*Note – There are placeholders for simulations and activities throughout; they are meant to give stakeholders an idea of how artificial intelligence can be integrated into this program.*

A crucial element in the instructional design process is organization. One of my strengths is designing functional and effective templates and storyboards to streamline the development of instructor-led training, e-learning courses, videos, and more. The use of these templates has enabled me to work more efficiently in content development and collaboration with stakeholders or subject matter experts. It ensures that the content aligns with learning objectives and meets business standards.

Facilitator Guide Template

I designed this template to help develop effective instructor-led training. This comprehensive document provides guidance and support for individuals facilitating a training session, workshop, or any other educational program. Utilizing this template allows the facilitator to deliver the content effectively, engage participants, and achieve the desired learning outcomes.

This guide is meant to be paired with a slide deck or other instructional content. However, it can be easily adapted to support live demos, presentations, and more. Download the complete guide below.

E-Learning Course Storyboard

Careful design is essential for any e-learning course to ensure content accuracy, proper structure, and alignment of learning outcomes with the needs of both learners and the business. I have created this storyboard to facilitate the development of e-learning courses across various modalities and encourage collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders. You can download the complete storyboard below.
